Jo LaRue

Jo LaRue is an emerging Dublin-born songwriter and pianist whose musical journey started at a young age. With a background steeped in the rich traditions of jazz and funk, thanks to her musical upbringing, Jo has developed a unique and rich vocal style. Her influences include iconic artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse, Stevie Nicks and Lily Allen, infusing her music with a blend of jazz, retro-pop, and conversational lyrics laced with humour.

A graduate of BIMM Dublin, where she studied Commercial Modern Music, Jo has honed her ability to perform across various genres, showcasing her versatility. She has collaborated with some of Dublin’s finest session musicians, bringing their expertise to her latest singles ‘We Don’t Live Here Anymore’ and ‘Stay Wild, Have Fun.’ Both unique to each other.
