Blending anthemic alternative rock with shadowy, harmony-rich turns, Monday’s Child have risen fast since they appeared on the Belfast scene in 2023. As one of Hot Press magazine's 'Hot for 2025' acts, the band has had a stellar year with support slots for major touring acts like CRAWLERS, Pillow Queens and Swim School and have been hailed as ‘one of the most exciting stories in Northern Irish music’ (Belfast Music, 2025).
Formed by the three McKay sisters Lauren, Jen and Clara, their influences range from grunge and punk, to pysch and indie rock, creating an electric atmosphere at their live shows. The band's debut EP ‘Modern Affair’ was released in May 2025, garnering attention from The Thin Air, LOUDWOMEN, and Golden Plec and receiving international radio play. In early 2026 they released the new single ‘Over Again’ with a music video, receiving support from music blogs such as Nialler9 and radio play from BBC Radio 1. Having played a string of packed-out shows around Ireland at the end of 2025 and with new music on the way, Monday's Child is an act you don't want to miss.
