Molly O'Mahony

Molly has been garnering attention as a solo performer since the release of her critically acclaimed
debut solo album, The House Of David, released in November 2022.
Album Of The Week on RTE1, and nominated for Best Debut Album at The Hotpress Awards, 2023,
the record has led her to open stages for the likes of Aoife O'Donovan, Mick Flannery, Damien
Dempsey, The Hot House Flowers and Soda Blonde, to name a few.
In December 2023, she released Extension, an addendum to the record, which featured the RTE Concert
Orchestra.
In 2024, she was the recipient of the Mermaid Space Fund from Mermaid Arts, Bray, to
facilitate the development of a new body of work, which would come to comprise the songs of her second
solo album.
She successfully crowdfunded over €20,000 from her home in Ballydehob, West Cork, to record and
produce the album at Black Mountain Studios in Dundalk, with producer Alex Borwick, in 2025.
Borwick has produced albums for the likes of Sam Fender, Niamh Regan and Rachel Lavelle.
The album, Waiting On The World, is due for release on May, 2026.
