Mocked Monkey

Mocked Monkey is an independent one-man-band singer-songwriter project from Bologna, created by Alessandro Falchi.
After years of collaborations in other projects and a period of study, writing, and experimentation (on stages and in the streets), the album Marasma was completed in 2025, a concept about absence, escape, and listening, toward others and toward yourself.

The protagonist runs away from everyone and everything, listening to no one, including himself and the voices in his head, which become more and more persistent as the story unfolds. The escape pushes him close to self-destruction.
Only at the end does he understand that running can’t be the answer, and he chooses to embrace his true nature by finally listening to himself.

The project was born on the street, where the audience doesn’t buy a ticket, and when they decide to stay, they truly listen.
In a world full of noise, choosing to listen is an act of love.
