MICAH | Pop // Tipperary // She/Her
Tipperary-born alt-emo/pop artist MICAH is fast becoming one of Ireland’s most compelling new voices, blending emotional precision with dark, punchy production and a commanding live presence.
Vocally, MICAH moves between the emotional directness of Fletcher, the hushed tension of early Billie Eilish, and the cinematic lift and controlled power associated with Olivia Rodrigo and Loreen — shifting effortlessly from intimate, confessional verses to explosive, cathartic choruses. This dynamic range underpins a sound that feels both vulnerable and arena-ready.
Named Hot for 2025 by Hot Press Magazine, MICAH’s momentum has continued to build through consistent national radio support. Her single “X’s” was named Track of the Week on 2FM, with follow-up releases including “Cry” continuing to receive strong radio play. All singles to date have secured national and international airplay across Today FM, Spin 1038, Beat 102103 and Amazing Radio, reflecting sustained support rather than a one-off breakthrough.
Critically, her work has been met with strong praise. A recent review from The Other Side Reviews noted:
“With the promise of this record and singles already sitting in her catalogue, I find myself eager to hear more and willing to sit back and enjoy the singles available.”
Respected music journalist Stuart Clark has also championed her work, further cementing her credibility within the Irish industry.
In 2024–2025, MICAH was shortlisted to support Grammy winner Cian Ducrot for a secret headline show. She has since delivered sold-out headline performances, including Whelan’s, Dublin, alongside festival appearances at Love Stock and DL Summer Fest and UK shows in 2025.
Her debut EP Villain amassed over 85K Spotify streams, contributing to more than 260K streams to date. Now building toward her debut album Lessons Learned (Spring 2026), MICAH continues to refine a sound that balances emotional intelligence with sharp, modern alt-pop production.
With consistent radio backing, critical praise, sold-out live shows, and a debut album campaign underway, MICAH stands poised as a bold Irish alt-emo/pop act ready for wider stages and international export.
