Sounds like Jeff Buckley and Radiohead, while looking at acts closer to home like Whipping Boy and Rory Gallagher. mechner has an impressive voice which sits atop guitars that range from Pixies loud to The Smiths jangle. Listen for post-rock/electronic sounds interwoven within taking cues from the like of Low Roar and Joy Division, to the quiet acoustics of any good folk artist. mechner is drenched in melancholic melody and introspective lyrics, often clawing at the darker sides of the human experience, though not without a romantic edge, some would describe the sounds as cinematic.

Following the release of debut album “Club Idem” in 2022, mechner has remained relatively quiet, which is usual for an artist that pays attention to the details. mechner has appeared at the prestigious “Rory Gallagher International Festival” 2023 closing out the festival, to rave audience reaction, and has embarked on a small number of “Quiet Tours” around the country often only lasting 3/4 dates.
