Mark Hegan

Indie // Bangor, Down // He/Him

Since the release of his debut EP in 2023, Irish music taste makers have been singing the praises of Mark Hegan; from Q Radio’s Olga Kaye, who called him a “future Northern Irish superstar” to BBC introducing’s Taylor Johnson, who claimed Mark is “the most industrious songwriter on this island”.

It must be said, since picking up the guitar at age twelve, Mark’s achievements have been numerous; from sold out shows and tours across Ireland and the U.K., to NI Music Prize nominations and airtime on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2 and RTE. Mark’s songwriting addresses themes of adulthood, identity and compromise, which, coupled with a stadium ready sound, combines intimacy and spectacle in a way that has prompted comparisons to legendary acts like U2, Sam Fender and Bruce Springsteen.

With the release of his new EP, sold out launch show and a tour that boasts support slot dates with the legendary Irish band Aslan, Mark's determination to cement himself as one of Ireland's most promising artists is steadfast.
