Independent artist Singer and songwriter Siobhan Brown was born in London of Jamaican heritage and has been living most of her life in Bangor, Northern Ireland. Manukahunney is a progressive soul band rooted in Gospel Soul and Jazz and inspired by a wide range of artists such as Rachelle Farelle, Anita Baker, Sharon Jones, Angelique Kidjo , Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gay, Gregory porter, Esprandah spalding, and Kirk Franklin. Siobhan’s love for harmonic and rhythmic soul music is evident particularly when you see her perform live.
With an eclectic range of influences that connect to Siobhan’s roots and extend out into her love for jazz, neo soul, strong rhythms & melodic chord structures and vocal harmonies, her original music connects to her musical roots and explores fusions with other genres that create her own unique soul blend.
As a recent Awardee of the prestigious MOBO Help Musician Fund Manukahunney will release an exciting 2nd EP in 2022 which showcases her signature authentic soul sound. A unique energy and edgey exciting soul sound to come out of Northern Ireland.
