Manilla Times

Indie // Enniskillen, Fermanagh // they/them

Hailing from small idyllic towns in Ireland (Derrylin) and Wales (Mold), Manilla Times are an emerging modern indie rock band known for their energetic live set, and catchy indie anthems.

Frontman and lead vocalist Jack McKelvey was born in Derrylin, County Fermanagh and has grown up inspired by music in Ireland, taking inspiration from indie rock bands such as Inhaler and Fontaines D.C., and brings this into his songwriting and live performances.

2023 was a huge year for the band, selling out a UK & Ireland headline tour across Dublin, London, Manchester, Cambridge and Liverpool, a major UK festival appearance at Y NOT, a sold out 240-cap headline show at The Deaf Institute in Manchester, and some big support slots throughout the UK.

They’ve received major radio play and press on BBC Introducing in Wales & Merseyside, XS Manchester, Radio X, Amazing Radio & Hot Press Magazine Ireland; not to mention landing Spotify editorial playlists ‘Proper Belters’ and ‘Fresh Finds UK & Ireland’.

This is only the beginning of Manilla Times, with a huge 2024 on the horizon. They are going on a run of UK/EU tour dates in May to London, Paris, Wrexham and Cardiff, playing multiple festivals throughout the UK and Ireland, and headlining Ulster Sports Club in Belfast on Friday 4th October.
