'The whole album is lightning in a bottle: it’s brain-scrambling, it’s cathartic, it’s bizarre at times sure but it is also utterly gripping and kaleidoscopic, a sprawling statement of intent. There is a sublimity at work here, shapeshifting and lush sound impeccably arranged for maximum emotional effect. This is the epitome of a tour the force… a sonic odyssey. One of the most compelling albums I’ve heard this year and in a long time'
- Bernard Clarke, RTE Lyric FM
'You won’t hear anything else like this today'
- Nialler9 Record Picks
‘Kaleidoscopic ....teetering on the tightrope between attention and immersion. A blitz of semiotics... communicating so much while not communicating semantically’
- Steve Goodman (Kode9)
‘Charmed experimental ambience…. unashamedly gorgeous… dream-like’
- Boomkat
'Extraordinary... love the record'
- Dan Hegarty, RTE 2FM
‘A piece of minimal instrumental avant-rock power that propels and compels’
- Norman Records (UK)
‘Monumental’
- Robert Poss (Bands of Susans)

New album MAC GIOLLA GHUNNA (2026) conjures otherworldly compositions to evoke musical dimensions that decolonise and elevate. From shapeshifting beat-driven forms with avant-garde tunings, to ambience and minimalism layered with no wave abrasion and noise, and otherworldly voices and sounds drawn from the well of Irish folk traditions and culture.
This eponymous album is a radical return from beyond that heralds the emergence of a distinctive voice across ten diverse works. It explores the ecstatic and liminal – assembled across several years between Dublin and the Ox Mountains in the West of Ireland.
The otherworld is a way of being, hearing, and seeing in this world, as philosopher John Moriarty observes. In an era of genocide and neocolonial expansion, hypercapitalist iniquity, and dystopian techno-fascism – it is vital to reconnect with and be grounded in an affirmative, brightened, and expansive experience of LIFE. This multifaceted vision is reflected in the music presented here: éist le spéis agus coinnigh súil ar an spás seo… ///
