Lorc D is a singer-songwriter and producer based between Donegal, Ireland and
London. He is an artist crafting emotionally raw music that moves from minimalistic spoken-word verses into soaring choruses — rooted in an indie-folk songwriting style with Irish trad textures and bedroom-pop
intimacy. Fans of Alex G, Ye Vagabonds, Joshua Burnside, Jamie T and Rainbow Kitten Surprise will find familiar touchpoints in Lorc D’s sound. His songs feature acoustic guitar at their core, with layered vocals, fiddles and accordion-style melodies sitting alongside driving drums and bass.
You come for the hooks but you stay for the lyrics, written with a depth and poetic realism influenced by Earl Sweatshirt and Haruki Murakami, whose dream-like mystic realism helped inspire Lorc D’s storytelling. As a Donegal man who’s spent years abroad, his songs nearly always trace back to home, with themes of nostalgia, love and grief running through his work.
Lorc D writes, records and produces his music independently, often in his DIY
bedroom setup using Ableton.
