Dublin-based Rock band LISTOWEL released their debut single ‘PAYCHECK’S’ on September 25th. Named after a village in the south of Ireland, County Kerry, LISTOWEL is the songwriting vehicle for lead singer and guitarist Eli McGuire. Piecing together influences from angular British guitar rock à la la Bloc Party or Franz Ferdinand, and Alternative American Rock bands from the 80s like The Misfits or The Replacements. McGuire’s jaw grinding refrains of angry defiance fight alongside volcanic guitar tones and chest pounding drums.
