BOVIY

Art Pop // Hamburg, Mayo // she/her

Not easy to grasp, but very easy to love: the German alt-pop artist BOVIY is a rebel with a message whose music addresses the pressing social issues of our time without becoming cheesy. Quite the opposite, in fact: In the sound of this young artpop feminist, state-of-the-art production values collide with multi-faceted arrangements that lie somewhere between pop, indietronica, and experimental synthesizers and that bear witness to a self-confident artist. It is therefore completelyunderstandable that VOGUE Germany named her one of the country’s most promising newcomers -BOVIY is modern pop next-level-sh*t.Growing up as the daughter of two musicians, she was raised on tour buses -the stage has always been her home. Early on, renowned orchestras and conductors such as Jules Buckley (BBC Symphony Orchestra) took notice of her, and at just eighteen she wrote and released an album for the WDR Funkhausorchester (“WRO plays Dubstep One4ty”), which was soon performed and broadcast on the legendary German MusicTV show “Rockpalast”. Global stars such as James Morrison, Jessie Ware, and Walk Off The Earth brought her along as a support act on tour. In early 2025, she’s set to play a sold-out headline show at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. But BOVIY is so much more than catchy hooks, bold sound, and wild chords; she’s a character, an attitude, an opinion, a statement. Her songs are radically honest: no filter, no songwriting camps, no fake stories. Everything is lived, felt, suffered, processed and written by herself. That raw, fearless attitude has already sparked multiple viral moments with millions of views –and even landed her on national news after she publicly refused to be used for racist narratives. For BOVIY, it’s never just about the music. She wants to connect people who share her values and create a safe space on her platforms where everyone can feel seen, heard and protected. That’s why she plays at CSDs, Pride Nights and stands loud and clear for human rights, the queer community and against the far right. After her last three singles charted in the German Airplay Charts, she kicked off 2025 with a sold-out headliner show at the ElbphilharmonieHamburg, played Reeperbahn Festival and Waves Vienna, supported former Eurovision winner NEMO and was invited by Ina Müller to sing a duet on her current No. 1 album “6.0”.Her debut album “Proudly Difficult” drops at the end of 2026.
