Laura Ugur

Laura is a fiddle player, performer and educator with more than 20 years experience performing across Ireland and internationally. Deeply rooted in Irish traditional music, her playing is influenced by the regional styles of Sliabh Luachra, Clare, East Galway and Sligo/Leitrim, combining rhythmic energy, expressive phrasing and a strong sense of musical storytelling.

A versatile and experienced live performer, Laura has appeared at festivals, concerts and events ranging from sessions and céilís to major festival stages. Her performances include appearances at Galway International Arts Festival, Baltimore Fiddle Fair, Masters of Tradition, Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, Body & Soul Festival and Electric Picnic, alongside international performances in Germany and Hungary. She has collaborated with artists including Saileog Ní Cheannabháin and Nuala Kennedy, and is a member of The Kilfenora Roadshow, contributing to innovative cross-genre performance work.

Alongside her performance career, Laura is an experienced teacher and mentor, and is founder and director of Burren Fiddle Holidays. She holds a First Class Honours BA in Irish Music and Dance from University of Limerick,
