Larabel, a young woman from Ghaoth Dobhair in County Donegal, who is now based in Dublin, Larabel has a unique style of songwriting that comes from a special place. You can hear that from the first strum on her guitar to the last breath, Larabel’s songwriting is from the heart and tackling tough topics that most would shy away from.
Larabel has curated a distinct tapestry of sound taking inspiration from a variety of artists such as, Ben Howard, Holly Humberstone and Mairbou state. Making her genre folk dream-pop, mirroring the nostalgic surroundings nestled in between the rugged mountains and soft beaches of Donegal.
Larabel has shared stages with artists such as, David Keenan, Roisin O, Lyra, Krea and Dea Matrona. She has played in the Olympia theatre for the charity ‘Rock against the homelessness’. Larabel has gotten press coverage on; 104 FM, Dublin city FM and Cork FM. Making the front page of the independent Newspaper, being featured in Totally Dublin culture magazine.
Kickstarting off the year of 2024, performing at ' Whelans Ones To Watch', Larabel is planning some exciting events, such as putting on her debut headline gig in Whelans, April 25th. She is currently working on new projects from releasing her debut EP to collaborating with electronic artists.
