Krea

Krea is the moniker adopted by Irish musician Karen Cowley. Following a hiatus from acclaimed trio Wyvern Lingo in 2022, Krea was awarded the Music Bursary by the Arts Council for her solo project. No stranger to the Irish music scene, Krea has worked with artists like Lisa Hannigan, Wallis Bird and Hozier, having featured on the duet 'In A Week' from the latter’s debut album. A vocalist, harpist and pianist, Krea’s debut EP, 'The Callows' released in 2023 showcased her strength as a solo artist.

Karen has taken her harp and the debut Krea EP across Ireland and as far as the USA where she represented the country at Folk Alliance International and supported Lisa Hannigan in the Irish Arts Center in 2024. She will be releasing her new EP later this year, after taking some time out of performance to have her first baby in 2025.
