Kid Coy

Kid Coy are a musical duo hailing from Dublin, Ireland. Formed in 2012, they are comprised of Tom Doyle (Lead Vocals/Guitar) and Dermot O’Neill (Vocals/Keyboards). Kid Coy’s music blends Alternative, Pop & Electronica. The bands debut single Sun God has received extensive airplay on Irish Radio and has seen the band being selected as A Play Irish Artist Of The Month for February 2014 and also Upcoming artist of the week on The Mix Up Show on Today FM.

Their debut album ‘Resolute’ was recorded and produced by Irish producer Karl Odlum (The Frames, Kila, Gemma Hayes, David Kitt). Karl also made a guest appearance as the albums bassist. It also features collaborations with Violinist and Vocalist Ciara Brennan and Drummer Cion O’Callaghan (Paddy Casey/Mundy). Resolute is the forthcoming album, which will be released April 25th.

In 2013 the band garnered notable attention from home and abroad when their live cover of the song A Real Hero from the movie Drive, gained much positive feedback for the band on You Tube. American website covermesongs.com stated “Kid Coy’s rendition mines the song for a subtler beauty and achieves that goal magnificently”. Notable Spanish digital artist Luis Beltran provided the artwork for the bands album having being impressed with early demos of the bands music.

Kid Coy’s live sets range from full band to stripped back acoustic sets which have gained a positive word of mouth endorsement with local audiences and led them to play the headline slot at the The National Gallery Of Ireland for Culture Night 2013 and also to play venues such as The Academy and The Unitarian Church. Kid Coy will play a headline gig in The Workman's Club, Dublin on 20/06/14.
