Singer-Songwriter Khidyie is an Irish-Hong Kong musician, whose music explores the finer lines between reality and fantasy. Her sound is a dreamy blend of folk, indie dream-pop laced with ethereal elements, inspired and fascinated by the waking moments that can be warped into a kind of romantic escapism.
Her introspective folk tales are a reflection of her wonderings about lust, limerence and loneliness. Khidyie creates music that entraps otherworldly aspects through atmospheric tones and vulnerable lyrics that are fundamentally rooted in, and born from reality.
Her songs are shaped by the likes of Norah Jones, Alice Phoebe Lou and Jeff Buckley while being equally as inspired by the dream-like worlds of magical realism authors Haruki Murakami and Neil Gaiman.
