Kathy Long

Kathy Long is a musician from County Kilkenny, currently based in Bergen, Norway. Her music is a genre bending sphere of lyrical expression, incorporating elements of folk, alternative pop and electronic soundscapes.

Long has performed at various venues around Ireland including The Grand Social in Dublin and The Butler Gallery in Kilkenny, as well as two slots at Electric Picnic festival in 2023 and 2024. More recently, she has broken onto the live performance scene in Norway, performing a headline show at the renowned Apollon Platebar, Solbakkestova Galleri and appeared on the lineup for the Bergen festival Trikkefestivalen.
She released her debut EP titled ‘Element’ in October 2025. This project is a musical reflection of the natural elements - fire, air, earth and water. A dream-like music video for the song ‘Glow Gold’ was also released in January 2026, showcasing the multi-disciplinary world of her music. ‘Element’ received considerable traction from Irish/UK radio as well as being featured in Hot Press, District magazine, RTÉ and more. Long was also listed on TodayFM’s Ones to Watch list for 2025.

Her move to Bergen in 2025 was an intentional shift to open up her creative process, uplifted by a new environment and proximity to awe-inspiring nature. She has collaborated with Norwegian musicians for her most recent singles ‘West’ and ‘Langeveien’, such as with esteemed producer Jørn Lavoll. In 2026, she has abundant plans filled with writing for her debut album, new song releases and upcoming gigs in international venues.
