Katarzyna Slabon

Katarzyna Slabon is a musician and sound artist based in Co. Mayo, Ireland. Originally from Poland. In 2010 she started her music project under Sound Magic Ireland name.
Bringing gongs and singing bowls into Ireland as one of the pioneers of sound baths, relaxation induced by sounds.
Recently she started to explore handpan music and creating ambient and folk-inspired music that draws on diverse cultural influences. She plays handpan, drums and percussion, including gongs.

Her practice spans live concerts, sound bath performances and music workshops, with a focus on wellness, relaxation and community engagement. She has delivered workshops in special schools and educational settings, and performs regularly at venues across Ireland.

Katarzyna collaborates with artists of many nationalities and cultural backgrounds, exploring the meeting points between world music traditions and contemporary electronic elements. Through these collaborations she continuously expands her sonic palette, bringing creativity, cross-cultural discovery and experimental energy to every performance.
