KAR

KAR is a 23-year-old singer-songwriter from Cork, Ireland. With comparisons to Taylor Swift’s 1989 by Hot Press Magazine, KAR is carving out a shimmering, synth-pop infused sound of her own, blending nostalgic pop with sharp, modern storytelling about the experiences of a young adult in the 2020s.

She released her debut single “TIME” on May 5th, 2023, which quickly reached number 1 on the iTunes Pop Chart and received national radio airplay. It was chosen as Track of the Week on Today FM and Spin Southwest.

Her second single “Ecstasy,” released on September 1st, 2023, reached the top 10 on iTunes and also received strong radio support. This was followed by “Running” (March 22nd, 2024), “Perfume” (May 2nd, 2025), and most recently, “Pretty Much” (July 2025), which was featured on BBC Introducing West Midlands and praised for its “bassy synth pop sound and heartfelt lyrics about the struggles of womanhood in the age of social media.”

KAR has appeared on national Irish radio stations such as RedFM, ClareFM, and Spin, to name a few.
