KAR

KAR is a 22 year old singer-songwriter from Cork, Ireland. She is currently studying Popular Music at MTU Cork School of Music. With comparisons to Taylor Swift’s “1989” by HotPress Magazine, KAR is carving out a shimmering, synth-pop infused sound of her own — blending nostalgic pop with sharp, modern storytelling about the experiences of a young adult in the 2020s.

KAR released her debut single TIME on May 5th 2023 and it quickly reached number 1 on the iTunes Pop charts and recieved national radio airplay. It was chosen as track of the week on TodayFM and Spin Southwest.

KAR released her sophomore single Ecstasy on September 1st 2023 and reached the top 10 on iTunes and also received radio airplay.

KAR released her third single, "Running" on March 22nd 2024, followed by “Perfume”, released 2nd May 2025.

KAR has appeared on RedFM’s Green on Red programme and is currently working on her highly anticipated EP.
