Johnny Fox is a singer-songwriter, musician and music producer from Wexford, Ireland. To date he has released five solo albums and six solo EPs. He has also co-written, produced and played on releases for The River Fane, Ger Fox Sailing, Laminate and Cursed Murphy.
Johnny's music draws upon an impressively eclectic span of sounds and styles, from lo-fi/Indie/alternative/post rock to folk, pop, jazz and Brazilian music (his releases include a brace of Portuguese language albums, which drew on his own experiences of the culture and sounds of São Paulo, where he lived for some time). He is a prominent figure in the burgeoning South-Eastern Irish music scene, as a solo artist, live performer, producer and collaborator.
Alongside the release of his 2025 solo album, 'Where Do I End and Where Do You Begin?', Johnny has recently been working with writer/musician Cursed Murphy as pianist/composer/arranger/producer on an ambitious three part musical project titled 'The Haunts of Love', scheduled to be released as three consecutive albums, before being performed in its entirety as a stage show in spring 2027. He is also acting as drummer and production/mixing engineer on the forthcoming debut album from indie rock band Dishwasher, and as live band member, playing bass, for folk duo Basciville.
Johnny has also initiated a series of split singles, featuring collaborations with Wexford singer-songwriter The Man Whom and Argentinian jazz singer Lucía Boffo.
Johnny operates a studio out of Rosslare Strand, providing engineering, production and mixing services, working with and for an ever increasing variety of artists, most recently the Ocelots and Stephen James Smith.
