Some nice things people have said..!

Red Stripe Music Award - www.redstripe.co.uk (live review, Edinburgh, Jan 2009) - "Edinburgh based Irish singer song writer, Jennifer Concannon charmed a hushed crowd with a medley of raw folk songs, keeping everyone’s interest with a mix of cello, clarinet, drums, piano and guitar."

SXSW live review, www.forfolkssake.com - "Thursday afternoon witnesses a sterling performance by Edinburgh based songstress Jennifer Concannon at Dominican Joes on South Congress. The venue, an independent not-for-profit Café established to sell coffee direct from the Dominican Republic, provided an intimate setting and silent crowd for Concannon's blend of poetic lyrics and ever enchanting and unique vocal style."

- www.WeLoveCamden.co.uk - Camden/London events website - "Acoustic folk singer Jennifer Concannon (aka Jenny Lane) plays alongside other acts tonight at the Bull and Gate, and is the pick of the bunch for us here at WeLoveCamden.co.uk. The Irish singer- songwriter has made a name for herself in Edinburgh, playing the city’s bars and cafes, and is well-known on the acoustic circuit. If you are a fan of folk music, Concannon’s range of influences may well serve to whet the appetite: Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Neil Young. Concannon has been nominated for the Red Stripe Music Award and, to give you an idea of her quality, she is booked to appear at the Wickerman Festival alongside the likes of Billy Bragg, The Zutons and Candi Staton. She is also to play the Loch Lomond folk festival in July. The Bull and Gate will provide the perfect setting for the singer tonight, but get there early to avoid disappointment."

www.vinylpuppet.com "Lovely tracks and if you're more coffee shop than mosh pit definitely worth checking out, once again this lady is on Slow Train Records and has music for sale which at the price is worth investing in. Nice mug of coffee and the paper on a morn with this in the background equals a very relaxing start to the day. This girl sure has a voice and it..s a good one with which she obviously knows how to use. 3.5/5"

www.forfolkssake.com "Jennifer Concannon describes her music as sounding "like tin cans rolling down a hill" and, on listening, it's hard not to wish it was you on that hill instead. Tin cans get all the fun. The Freedom EP has a refreshing sense of space that spurs the listener to get out of the front door and into the world, that is until they realise that it'll be dark in half an hour and it's pouring with rain"
