Ivan Birthistle

Ivan has had a long and winding road in music -

Starting in 90s Derry with Schtum, alt-rock signed to Sony, one album, lots of touring in Ireland, UK, USA and Canada - back catalogue soon to be reposted on BC.

Then back to Dublin to form Reno Five with Michael Mullen and Ross Neville (Wheel, Tension) and joined by Pat Clafferty (Mexican Pets) - unsigned, also to be uploaded soon

When Pat left that morphed into KDEK when joined by Nina Hynes and Miriam Ingram - unsigned, also to be uploaded to BC soon

Ivan then joined Nina Hynes for a couple of albums, firstly contributing on Staros, then as the first husband of Nina Hynes and The Husbands for the Really Really Do album.

Since then Ivan has mostly been working as a composer and sound designer for live theatre and dance with much music of many genres made along the way. A lot of this done in collaboration with Vincent Doherty. Some is already on Band Camp with much more to follow.
