Formed in 2024 through online music forums, Irvine bonded over a shared love for the music of Radiohead, Pixies, and PJ Harvey. Eager to begin their gigging career, they began opening for established acts in the Cork music scene. Now in 2026, after a busy year of gigging in their native city and recording in the studio, Irvine is poised to drop the first in a spree of singles.
Irvine has cultivated a live experience that they aim to deliver for every performance, hypnotising the crowd with ambient soundscapes before shaking the room with gut punching rock and roll. Three vocalists lend a dynamic variety to the set, sharing lead vocal duties and three part harmonies.
Surrealist lyrics, hypnotic drumming, and 1 million guitar pedals make up Irvine’s noise, drawing on a wide range of influences from shoegaze pillars like Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine, to folk-rock artists like Dylan, Cohen, and Young.
