InBetween Honey

Indie // Navan, Meath

InBetween Honey is a 5-piece band from Ireland, who formed in County Meath in June 2019. The members all attended the same secondary school a number of years ago where they originally crossed paths. The band are Dylan Hickey, Ciara Mc Manus, JohnPaul Melady, Matty Melady and Blayne Moran.

InBetween Honey's style can be described as indie rock to indie pop with their influences including The Killers, The Cure, Blossoms and The 1975. Their music is a mix of sounds of classic bass and drums, cutting indie guitars with an element of bright synth riffs with the occasional piano feature.

Since forming, the band have played to sold out audiences in venues such as Whelan's, the Workman's Club and Boyles of Slane. They made it through to the final of Sea Sessions' "Live & Unsigned" in the Chasin' Bull, Bundoran in January 2020 as well as playing sets at the Trailer Park Stage Electric Picnic 2019 and the Whelan's "Ones To Watch" Festival 2020.

The group has released 5 singles to date with a notable debut, "Beg, Steal & Borrow," with the follow-up released 4 months later entitled, "How To Be Brave."

Having worked with two former Otherkin members from 2020 onwards at The Clinic Recording Studios, InBetween Honey's third single had a particularly successful release with its premiere by Dan Hegarty on 2FM. "Friday Night/Monday Morning" is their most streamed song to date and has featured in Pat Courtenay's "Is There A Muso In The House?!" on Radio Nova in April 2020.

Following the first lockdown, InBetween Honey released their fourth single, "One Home" on 16th October which was premiered on Pat Courtenay's "Music News" on Radio Nova. The song is very relevant in the world around us today as the lyrics were written about the importance of global warming and why the younger generation in particular should be more concerned regarding environmental issues: "We wonder why the kids protest, it's probably 'cause they know what's best."

Their latest single "I'm Glad That It's You" was launched by Colm Slattery of Fluttertone at a special interactive ticketed livestream gig in the Sound House Dublin on 3rd April 2021 which was enjoyed by a large audience of online attendees.

InBetween Honey plan to play their biggest headline gig to date upstairs in Whelan's on Easter Sunday 17 April 2022 with support TBA.
