His sound moves fluidly between soulful alt-rock and old-time folk balladry, but always returns to the raw core of storytelling. Whether backed by a full band or stripped to a single instrument, Hayes’ songs speak to exile, resilience, and the slow fight back to selfhood.

Ian introduced himself in 2022 with his debut singles Spanish Flowers and Divide, earning early praise for his lyrical depth and genre-blurring sound. After time spent writing, reflecting, and challenging boundaries, he returned in 2025 with Astray and Roam - two defiant new singles that showcased both evolution and intent.

Now, in 2026, Hayes is nearing a triple single release before moving onto a planned album launch in 2027 with his band that will feature a diverse selection of songs he's written across his musical journey.
