Josh Gray ‘We Should Run’ May 2018

Former HomeTown band member flies on to the solo scene with his ambitious, punchy and energetic debut single ‘We Should Run’

Irish singer-songwriter Josh Gray is gearing up to release 'We Should Run', his debut single since the departure of Louis Walsh’s chart toppers HomeTown. Josh has been mastering his craft and readying himself as an established solo artist working alongside some big writers and fellow musicians. This song paints the picture to small town
syndrome - The opening line ‘We’ve got to get out while we’re young’ a very relatable statement for many young adolescents in 2018. ‘I’m very proud of and love where I come from but after getting a taste for what it is like to tour around the globe doing something you love doing everyday has made me realise that I just want to get back on the horse and chase my dream’, explains Josh. Sometimes things change and promises go by the wayside, even though you may not want them to but you can't give up on what your passionate about."

21-year-old Josh, raised in Blessington Wicklow even shows us the beauty of his hometown as we can see in his music video. ‘We shot the video over the course of
two days, I really wanted to tell a story that I think many can relate to. Two lovers who see their lives extending far beyond where they come from. They know they have to get out and chase what you want before it’s too late.’

For the past year Josh has purposely taken time out since Hometowns split to find and develop his own sound writing and focusing on his craft.

Josh was also influenced by artists such as Onerepublic's Ryan Tedder, Justin Timberlake, The Script, Kodaline and Maroon 5. His music shows off clever craftsmanship both lyrically and melodically, bringing various different styles to create his own unique sense of energetic
captivating music.

‘We Should Run’, gives us just a teaser of what Josh plans to bring to the table in the very near future. Josh currently has several tracks on there way and they’re definitely worth getting excited about.. "Right now I just want to get my music out there as much as possible. Ideas always have potential, I love writing and not just for myself. I’ve also been writing for other artists and it's such a great feeling knowing that people can relate to your piece of self expression and take it on as their own.’All I can say is that I’m excited and can't wait to share this journey with everyone and anyone.’
