Housecats

Housecats are an Irish band influenced by the warmer and groovier sides of soul, rock and psychedelic music. We are a collaboration of Nick Timothy (Vocals, guitar) Sam Wright (Bass) Dave Shaughnessy (Drums) and Shona Flaherty (Keys, Violin). We met in the musical hub of Mullarkeys bar in Clifden Ireland while playing there with various original bands, and began writing and playing music together soon after that, finding inspiration in our shared love for 70’s soul Funk and Rock.
Our new album was recorded over one week in Meath, Ireland and we took an analogue approach to the recording process to try and create something with the warmness, groove and liveliness of the albums we love. Nobody Knows is the lead single from the album.
