Galway City, County Galway
Gráinne Cotter is an Alternative Pop/Blues Artist who stems from a background of a variety of genres. She is a Clare native fiddle player and professional singer-songwriter with a talented band of four based in the lovely Galway City in the West of Ireland.
Having derived from an Irish music Family she was very surprised to discover a love of Jazz and song composition and was given the opportunity to study in Berklee College Boston for a summer. Here she concentrated on stage performance and composition. Having returned to Ireland from a summer in Paris, Gráinne moved to the culture hub of Galway and set up a talented group who then assisted her in her ambition of creating an album of her work. Following her release of her new Album TIDES she has been added to the RTÉ 1 recommended playlist and has been played by presenters such as John Creedon and Ronan Collins. She has also performed live on Sean O Rourke(RTÉ 1) and Pat Kenny(Newstalk).
She looks forward to recording her second album with the band this July.
