Forgotten|Soldier

Forgotten|Soldier is the alternative music project from Ronan McManus. His newly released EP Doing My Own Research is a follow up to Man On A Bridge which was released independently in 2018. The new EP is a departure from the 2018 EP Man On A Bridge with a more fast and power driven post-punk sound. The new EP is influenced by bands such as Protomartyr, Cloud Nothings and Placebo. It has been compared to the 80s post-punk band Mission of Burma. Lyrically the songs are a reflection of the struggles of a millennial in todays Irish society nd touches on the housing crisis, climate change, our use of the internet and social media. Forgotten|Soldier is working on a live set and plans to tour the new EP and some new material over the coming months. Sever tracks have got airplay on a number of independent radio stations and playlists over the past number of months in the EPs release.
