Fiona Kennedy

Singer-songwriter and IRMA Award nominee Fiona Kennedy is a truly versatile artist. The success of her last album ‘Find Me’ along with a sell-out nationwide album tour places her firmly back where she belongs, in the top drawer of Irish female artists. Find Me was made Album of the Week on RTE Lyric Fm and a single release ‘All Together Now’, featured on the RTE Radio 1 Recommends List , reaching no.4 on the Irish & U.K. airplay chart. Two further tracks from the album reached no. 1 on the ITunes chart.

In 2024, Fiona created a highly acclaimed stage show called Natural Woman, songs that were inspired by ordinary women doing extraordinary things accompanied by readings, stories & projections. The show received excellent reviews & sold out The Cork Arts Theatre on its 2 night run. Several further runs of the show followed and Fiona and her show team just finished a County Cork theatre tour with support from the Cork County Council Arts Office this March in conjunction with International Womens Day.
Her forthcoming album, Natural Woman, the soundtrack for the show, is due for release in Spring/Summer 2026 and is a tapestry of songs written by Fiona that were inspired by trailblazing women from all walks of life. Two advance singles from the album have been dropped, with the latest, a cover version of the Carole King classic Natural Woman just released in March 2026.

Natural Woman is a deeply personal and artistically rich exploration of the women who have shaped Kennedy’s life and creative journey. Inspired by figures that include legendary travel writer Dervla Murphy, champion of the homeless Caitriona Twomey, campaigner Vicky Phelan, activist Mary Crilly and others, the show celebrates courage, resilience, and the quiet heroism of everyday women. With readings performed by Cork author Ethel Crowley & Kennedys superb band onstage too, Natural Woman offers an experience that is both thought-provoking and emotionally uplifting.

Kennedy has had her own one hour TV special on RTE in the early years of her career, and has supported international artists such as Carole King, Kris Kristofferson & John Martyn. Her unique voice won her lots of radio airplay, many TV appearances & international tours, with several Late Late Show appearances and performances in prestigious venues like The Cork Opera House & The Bottom Line New York.

Kennedy has co-written songs with Robin Robbyns of Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band ( ‘Beauty Queen’ Single) she has also worked with Bill Shanley (Mary Black) & Christian Best (Mick Flannery) among others.
