Fierce Shook

Punk // Tullamore, Offaly // They/Them

Fierce Shook are a 3-piece post-punk band whose members all originally hail from Tullamore, Co. Offaly, Ireland. The group consists of Rob Moore (Guitar, Bass, Vocals) and brothers Owen (Guitar, Bass, Vocals) and Ozzy Holmes (Drums, Vocals).

The band was started as a private hobby and a creative outlet for its members over 10 years ago. The band released their debut EP "Fierce Shook Altogether" in March 2021. This was followed up with the singles Daniel, Astro Turf and Luthite over the course of 2021 and 2022.

The group played their first gig in August 2022 in the Bello Bar and this was followed by a number of well received gigs around the country, including their first festival appearance. The band would also go on to record a live radio session for Near FM.

In November 2022, the band entered Windmill Lane to start recording their debut album. The album is expected to be completed in early 2023 and will be released later this year.

“We would generally describe ourselves as a punk band in the sense that we’re working independently and within the constraints given, whether it’s time or money, to create music that we want to hear. It’s not about playing to the clichés of the genre. I also think working in a small town away from any major music scene has helped us to craft something different.” states Rob Moore “It’s allowed us to create music that’s fun and interesting for us without worrying too much about the context for it.”
