Eoin Kenny is a folk musician from rural North-West Ireland. Eoin's songs tell stories, both his own and others that have been shared with him. Sometimes he approaches this very directly by recounting real experiences, and sometimes less directly through observations, conversational narratives, or from others' imagined perspectives.
Eoin started performing again in February 2024, and his lyrics and melodies are gaining fans quickly, with his following on social media growing by over 5,000 since then.
He played several shows in his first year back to the stage in venues such as Whelans, the Four Provinces Folk Club, and the Corn Mill Theatre, and in 2025 furthered this by playing all over the country, including the Róisín Dubh in Galway, the Button Factory in Dublin, Anam Festival in Kerry, and Music Showcase in Cavan, and others. He was also featured in the Guinness Music Trail for emerging artists as part of the New Year's Festival in Dublin.
Eoin returned to the studio in May 2026 and is due to play the Workmans's Cellar in Dublin, Stendhall Festival in Derry, and many other live shows in the coming months.
He has been described as having “a beautiful voice and even more beautiful lyrics. Eoin will have you swooning like a kitten after a fish in a rope”, and he was recommended by Christy Moore on social media as one to watch.
His music has released two EPs since May 2025 and has had his music played on radio stations such as BBC Scotland, RTE 2XM, Shannonside FM, Near FM, Ocean FM, and many others. He is currently preparing for the release of two new singles in the Summer of 2026. With his focus on love, loss, life, emigration and other topics, there are insights for everyone to enjoy from hearing his songs.
