Emma Hynes

Emma Hynes is a writer, singer, musician and visual artist from Dublin, Ireland, performing her own songs, prose and poetry.

Her 2025 releases, Hinterland and Sierra, and 2026 single Tell Me How, are from her eagerly-anticipated debut album which will be out this year.

They are preceded by the celebrated Space Between Trilogy, 2021 - 2022.

Emma's music sees alt, new and indie folk blend with pop, rock and poetic introspection to form something unique, and evocative of what she describes as her “own brand of ethereal longing.”

Her songs have featured on the RTÉ Radio One Recommends list, the Nova Guestlist's Top 100 Songs of the Year on Radio Nova, and enjoyed national, international and local airplay.

Press coverage has included Hot Press Magazine, The GOO, and Billboard from the Irish Daily Mail.

Emma has performed live at venues such as Dublin’s renowned Whelan’s main stage and the Irish Writers Centre, and headlined at The Workmans Club, and the Dublin Quays Festival.

In addition to her music, Emma is a published and performing writer, and a photographer whose work has been shortlisted for the prestigious RHA Annual Exhibition, exhibited on Culture Night, and features on all her releases. She has also created her own music videos.

As a first-class honours graduate of literature, drama, film and television, her love of writing, reading and theatre, combined with her lifelong passion for music, and appreciation of visual art, all make for an interesting combination of poetic lyrics, accomplished melodies, thoughtful performances, and compelling artwork.
