EL SEQUOYA.

Pedro Campbell is a self taught Singer / Songwriter, and performer, has no formal musical training, but has always been a multi-instrumentalist and is not limited to playing Guitar, his main instrument. He plays and is proficient in instruments such as the Banjo, Harmonica, Bass and plays Drums and all percussion instruments on his original recordings. Pedro Campbell has written a large body of songs (200 to date currently), with a huge knowledge and focus on varied musical influences, both past and present, with his preference to write in the Folk, Country and Bluegrass genres. He is a keen and talented songwriter, wordsmith and storyteller, and is regularly and continually composing new songs, with a constant flow of material and songs ideas being written, completed, recorded and produced. He has produced several professionally recorded songs and compositions.

Pedro Campbell has also collaborated and performed live with several noted local musicians, including the talented and renowned Singer / Songwriter / Performer and Multi-Instrumentalist Emma Donnelly, the highly respected Traditional Banjo & Fiddle Player, Therese Hanley, the exceptionally proficient Lead Guitarist Fintan Coen, the unmatched Flute Player & Singer, Cathy Dunphy and the regarded Fiddle Player Fidlema Curley, where a collaborative gigging relationship with these artists, continues to be fruitful, well received and popular, and which spans and encompasses the counties of Derry, to Roscommon, Donegal to Leitrim. Alongside this, Pedro Campbell has also created his own unique ensemble band, the Bluegrass/Soul/Gospel/Country outfit known as "EL Sequoya", where he brings his multi-instrumental and musical abilities in both performance and songwriting to the fore and to a large and varied audience. This brought with it some critical acclaim and commercial success including; winning Gasyard Feile Singer/Songwriter, exposure on the Youbloom showcase alongside international acts. His original songs which were picked up for the Causeway Coast Tourism advert campaigns, along with two of his original songs being used in soundtracks for locally produced films.

This is just a small list of the many achievements which has catalysed Pedro's desire to pursue a career path in Music. In addition to the above Pedro is an avid storyteller of stories which creates, writes, illustrates and publishes through the medium of original Comic Books and Graphic Novels. He has turned into the original Comic Book / Graphic novel series 'Lone Star Soul'. This has been published worldwide and had received high commended reviews. Pedro started and launched his own publishing business in the Co-Lab, in Letterkenny, Donegal, through which he won numerous awards, including Best New Business, in the Donegal Enterprise Awards. He was nominated to be a Creative Delegate for the Creative Industries in the North West Region, where he travelled all throughout Europe to represent the Creative Arts here in Donegal. He was also a founding member of the Donegal Creative Committee, and Donegal Creative Coast, whose remit was to cultivate and support Arts and Music in Donegal and the North West.

Just Completed A Year Of Voice Tuition With The Accomplished Voice Tutor Tine Verbeke, Who Coached & Trained Bono.
Currently Undergoing Drumming Tuition With Acclaimed Drummer & Fiddle Player Seamus Devenney.
Had Two Original songs used in Northern Ireland Tourism Videos for "The Causeway Coast" Campaign.
Played YouBloom Showcase alongside international acts (with full band).
Written 200 Original Song Compositions.
Typed and Archived all Song Lyrics.
Wrote Melody, Harmonies, Arrangements and String Sections.
