Eileen Tackney

Eileen Tackney, a native of Cavan, is an alternative ambient artist whose otherworldly, emotional and cinematic music traverses the world to electronica,traditional and classical to create a totally unique listening experience. Her whole life is dedicated to music in a myriad of ways from conducting 'The Cavan Singers', Cavan Rugby Club Choir, accompanying, tutoring, arranging for artists such as Deirdre Shannon (Lord of the Dance), The Young Wolfe Tones, All Ireland Traditional singer Aoife Murray, SOng SIsters. She has also performed with Celine Byrne, The Celtic Tenors among others.
With her debut album 'South' music journalist Tony Clayton-Lea chose her as his 'One to Watch in 2013. Since then she has released @Towards the Sun' (2015), 'The Return Home' 2020 and is currently working on her fourth album 'Little Steps' due to be released in March 2027. This album explores the sound world of traditional Irish music, incorporating native instruments while shaping them through her own personal approach.
