Dusk Saffron

Dusk Saffron is a shoegaze band currently based in Berlin, fronted by Cork musician David Carey. The band formed in late 2024.

Their music is inspired by bands like Diiv, Slowdive, Foals and others, with layers of washed out, reverb-drenched guitars swirling and intertwining atop driving drums, pulsing bass and ethereal vocals.

They have been described as "dense and urgent shoegaze that grabs you emotionally" by leading German music publication Tonspion.

They released their first EP last September and embarked on a 6-date Asia tour that October, with sold-out shows in Berlin, Shanghai and Hong Kong. Their new single, Erasure, will be released on February 23rd.

The band just won the Record Store Day Talent of 2026 competition held by Germany, Austria and Switzerland, to find the best new breaking talent of 2026. They will play a show in Rough Trade Berlin on Record Store Day as part of the prize and have vinyls of their 2025 EP pressed.
