Dose

Dose brings together the formidable talents of Lizzie Fitzpatrick (Bitch Falcon), bassist Lauren Heron (Merpire), synth player Aoife Spratt, and drummer Nicki Meehan. Their sound is a bold fusion of dream pop, post-punk, grunge, shoegaze, and synth-pop, drawing on influences from DIIV, Cocteau Twins, Beach House, and Slowdive.

The band’s debut single “Cuckoo” dropped in 2024 to widespread acclaim, earning a spot as 2FM The Alternative’s Track of the Week. The Goo described the track as “a fuzzy pitch-shifting cross between shoegaze, coldwave with some post punk thrown in. Sung by The Roches and mixed by Eno,” and predicted big things for Dose.

Building on that momentum, Dose were named among Whelan’s Ones to Watch 2025/2026, supported Throwing Muses on their Irish tour in 2025, and delivered standout performances at Féile na Gréine in Limerick, and Bold Frontiers in Dundalk.

In March 2026, the band released their latest single “Chump Change” to critical acclaim, accompanied by a striking house-made music video inspired by the late, great David Lynch. The track has already garnered strong support at national radio, with Beta Da Silva (2FM) calling it “incredible music” and promising further airplay, while John Kennedy (Radio X) named it an X-Posure Daily Hot One, declaring “this band are icons.”

Dose continue their rapid ascent with a string of major live dates, including a slot at Beyond the Pale, headline shows across Dublin, Belfast and Galway, and upcoming festival appearances such as Faoin Tuath in Mayo (May 2026). The band are also set to support Ailbhe Reddy at The Button Factory this May.

Their debut EP ‘Sycophantic’, produced by Joey Edwards (Pizza Pizza / Just Mustard / The Altered Hours), is due for release in May 2026, marking the next chapter for one of Ireland’s most exciting emerging acts.
