DISTRACTORS

Distractors inception began as far back as late 2006. Their debut single 'Last Stand' followed in early 2007 garnering them many admirers in their hometown and numerous playlists on Irelands airwaves. The following year saw an invitation to SXSW as well as a second single 'Conversation Killer' which was re-released this year alongside three other songs as 'Manly with a Stanley EP'. In the last year alone they have toured with The Charlatans, Inner City Pirates as well as opening for Cold War Kids,Rumble strips and Tokyo Police Club to name a few.Also in the past year the band were twice nominated for artist of the week on XFM in both Manchester and London,while at home the band recorded two sessions for Dan Hegartys show on 2fm. The Band are currently recording for their debut album which is set for release Autumn 2009,although they will take a break from recording to play at this years Oxegen Festival in July......
