Born in Belfast, raised in the Republic of Ireland in the village of Slane, Denis Carolan is a multi- instrumentalist and songwriter performing recording and collaborating in the eastern seaboard region. Based now in Balbriggan he performs with The Scarecrow Union and a blues based group The Fortunate Few as well as occasionally appearling with local Balbriggan group Acoustic Misfits. Having studied music and lived in Spain during the 90's and returning to Ireland he has dedicated himself to honing his songwriting and musicianship releasing his debut album All Summer Long in 2011. His latest project is a collaboratiion with other local songwriters and musicians in Balbriggan which has produced the cd "People and Places" to be released in Autumn '26.
