Deep Reasoning is a Hip Hop Artist with an introspective style. A philosophical streak runs through his music and he is heavily influenced by old school 90s conscious hip hop such as Nas, Rakim, Talib Kweli, Mos Def and many more. He has been active for many years, performing around Dublin city centre venues such as The Turk’s Head in Temple Bar and neighbouring venues The Underground Venue & The International Bar.
He started out his journey with The Quintessential LP (Demo EP) in 2006, In Dublin (Single) in 2007, Design Through Rhyme EP in 2008, before taking a long hiatus; releasing his official debut LP ‘Student of the Game’ in 2015, with lead single Weighing Scales (video on YouTube) featuring local vocalist James O’Reilly of The Address; an indie blues band.
He launched his single ‘Dopamine’ featuring Rebecca Rose (video on YouTube) in late 2019 - with the official launch party and video reveal taking place at the Underground Venue on Dublin’s Dame Street.
‘Rushing Thru My Veins’ due for release on 4th June 2021 is the second single lifted from the upcoming album ‘ Hemispheres’ due for release in 2022. Produced by Jame McPeake (Lupe Fiasco 2FM competition winner), this electronic hip hop banger lyrically focuses on channelling the daily frustrations of life and overcoming your ghosts/fears.
Professionally recorded, mixed and mastered by James Darkin at Black Mountain Studios (formerly Herbert Place Recording Studios) who has worked in recording sessions with the likes of Rihanna & Kanye West from his time at the old Temple Lane Studios.
