Dublin-based DC Dolls is a five-piece, female rock group. Their alternative rock sound draws from many different rock genres, and they take inspiration from bands such as Sprints, Gurriers & Die Spitz.
The members are: Vi (lead vocals), Abi (lead guitar), Kate (rhythm guitar), Sue (bass), and Tracy (drums).
The band made their festival debut at Electric Picnic, 2023, after winning a battle of the bands competition with Youth Work Laois. Shortly after, they played their very first gig in the Sound House on the 10th of September. In 2024, they played a number of festivals, including Based Festival and Forest Fest.
In 2026, the will take part in Howth Guinness Music Festival in Februrary, and the Beardfire Music Festival in August.
The band released their debut EP, 'Into the Empty Blue,' on June 7th 2024 on all platforms, after recording and producing in Windmill Lane.
In July of 2025, they released a single titled 'Blame Me,' followed by 'Are You Lost?' in December 2025, and then 'Wait For Me! (Bus Song)' in March of 2026. These songs will be part of their planned album release, scheduled for the end of 2026.
Their music has been featured in a variety of media, such as Vigilante, a new indie game in collaboration with Scattergood Studios (https://www.youtube.com/shorts/dCMXFDiOMiI), as well as on podcasts.
