Daddee

Rock // Dublin

Daddee is a new synth heavy, four-piece rock band from Dublin. The latest project of frontman Ciarán McFadden, who comes from a long line of entertainers. His grandparents were the last generation to run 'The McFadden Roadshow', which toured Ireland for 160 years. A sample of his grandfather Jimmy features on their 3rd single, Busman's holiday, which was released in August 2024.

Daddee was formed in late 2022 when Ciarán asked Darragh Hickey (synth, guitar vocals) if he wanted to be in a band that "plays rock music that makes people want to dance." They spent 2023 forming the band, writing and rehearsing, playing their first show in Fibbers in January 2024.

Combining heavy rock'n'roll with lyrical wit and storytelling, Daddee’s music is a cocktail of dark humour and social commentary. Taking cues from Queens of the Stone Age, LCD Soundsystem, Courtney Barnett, and Viagra Boys, the band crafts a sound that’s at once raw, melodic, and unpredictable.

Daddee have played in shows in the Croílar Festival, the Works Festival and many shows around Dublin in venues including Whelans, Sin é, Racket Space, Fibbers and Bello Bar playing alongside bands such as Onion Boys, Bedrooms, Dubh Lee and Binmen.
