Curfew

Rock // Dublin 11, Dublin // Prefer not to say

Emerging from the heart of North Dublin with a sound that’s as haunting as it is electrifying, Curfew are a dark, cinematic, hard alternative rock band destined to etch their name into modern Irish rock’s most raw and compelling live bands with a sonic footprint that is truly their own. Since fully forming in 2024, Curfew has already gained a reputation for their electrifying live shows across many distinguished Dublin venues such as Whelans, Sin E, Bello Bar, The Grand Social, Anseo, The Workman’s Club and The Sound House. Curfew have also performed in Tipperary, Cork and Dundalk. In November, Curfew dropped their debut album "Black Doll's Eyes", which turned the heads of prominent media bodies such as RTE 2fm, Nialler9, Genuine Irish, Louder Than War Radio, KCLR FM, Radio Wigwam, Hot Press, Golden Plec, Blowtorch Records and IMRO, who all featured the album across their platforms. The album release was celebrated with a packed out Grand Social headliner in December 2025.

Singles such as 'Love Letter', 'Go Slow' and 'Lucid Mind' have stood out in terms of media traction and radio play with the band currently sitting at over 1,600 Spotify monthly listeners and continuing to enjoy ongoing radio features. Curfew's music catalogue blends the calm with the chaos but in a controlled measured way with dreamy nostalgic ballads infused with emotion and delicacy, yet other songs featuring more crushing and raw riffs.

What’s next? Curfew are currently working on album number 2 while continuing to push album number 1 with music videos, gigs and festival pursuits.

Curfew are Jj Smilez (vocals) and Gavin Dunne (guitar).
