Curfew

Dublin Rock outfit Curfew from North Dublin, currently operating as an instrumental duo, consist of Gavin Dunne on guitar and Michael Caffrey on drums. Having grown up on the same road, Gavin & Michael have been consistently making music together since the age of 15. Both aged 27 now, they have been refining their sound, crafting powerful dynamic original material and perfecting their live set up to take a scalp off the Dublin music scene and beyond. The band as individuals have extensive live experience performing with other notable artists such as Pauric O'Meara, Elkin, Tung in Cheek and Man Like Strange. Despite working in other above projects, Gavin & Michael have always come back to this endeavour carrying extensive live performance and recording experience having toured across Ireland, the UK and USA. 2023 was the year that saw Curfew finally export their music publicly to promote the current instrumental noise / post-rock / shoegaze project.
In 2023 Curfew released some professionally recorded original material at the Grand Social encompassing the bands raw live flair. "Into the Ether" is a math art rock number boasting intricate drum grooves with beefy yet piercing triple amp configured guitar sounds. The song demonstrates pulsating and throbbing breakdowns and keep the listener guessing within the confines of the 2-piece soundscape. The second track from this live session also available on YouTube entitled "Clones", represents the band's profound melancholy ambience and dynamic musicianship.
Curfew have already performed at many iconic Dublin venues such as Whelan's (main room & upstairs), The Sound House and The Grand Social. Earlier this year Curfew performed in Cork at Fred Zeppelins and have performed several support slots in the past 12 months. Curfew have already secured 2 festival slots for this summer at Livestock 2024 in Galway, and Feile Beag 2024 in Tipperary.
