Cormac Russell

Cormac Russell’s music is defined by his upbringing in North America and Ireland. His music has an inherently international spirit which reflects his hybrid background. Many of his songs are political in nature and tackle themes like climate change, war and inequality. Over the course of the last  six years he has released eight albums and his new record ‘First Class’, like all previous recordings, was made entirely in his bedroom. Russell has a modern, DIY approach to music, and he does the vast bulk of the work by himself. His music is influenced by bands like Radiohead, Wilco, Pavement and The Smiths, and his records are not easily categorised. He has put together a stellar band which have been touring his new songs across the London circuit and they look set for great things in 2026.
