Child of Prague

Child of Prague’s unique sound flirts with Folk Pop and incorporates elements of Irish Trad, with Midwest Emo and Math Rock guitar influences. Pairing sincere and heartfelt lyrics with powerful vocals, their lyrical passages weave around instrumentals and with constantly evolving dynamics.

“We match Irish traditional elements with the bright and erratic guitar tone of a Midwest Emo band. We have a fusion of instruments with sax and violin tying in Folk and Jazz elements. We aren't afraid of a Folk-Pop sound, but we equally aren't afraid to play with dissonance and heavier themes.”

Hailing from San Francisco, Dublin, Boston, London, and Tipperary, Child of Prague is an Indie Rock band started as a writing project between Jack McDonnell and Adam Tracey in late 2021. The band has gone through several iterations, the current line up solidifying in September of 2023, consisting of Jack McDonnell (Vocals/Guitar), Adam Tracey (Guitar), Miranda Gallacher (Drums), Noah Edwards (Bass), Rachel Baum (Saxophone/Violin), and Amelia Durac (Violin/Vocals). They have gained huge gig experience over 2023/2024, playing in many Dublin venues such as The Workman's Cellar, The Soundhouse and Lost Lane.
