Chiarastella Calconi, also known as just Chiarastella, is a singer, songwriter and producer. Originally from Italy, she moved to Ireland in 2016. Her music production has always focused on electro-pop and dream-pop features, until recently, when she started playing the five-stringed banjo and was drawn to the acoustic/folk world.
In Italy, Chiarastella toured all around the country, participating as finalist in prestigious Music Contests like Una Canzone per Amnesty (where she won the Critics' Choice Award), Musicultura and Premio De André.
In 2009 she was a contestant in The X Factor Italy and her version of True Colors featured in the TV show's album produced by Sony Music.
In the same year, her first album Pianeta Venere was released by ACN Music. With the same label she published an experimental electro soundtrack for the theatre production Elektrika_Un'Opera Techno with which she toured from 2011 to 2014.
In 2013 she founded the electro-pop duo Kitchen Machine with the cellist and singer Adele Pardi, with whom she performed in clubs, theatres, and festivals, including the Arcadian Field in Dundalk in 2018.
In 2022 she featured as singer and producer for the dark folk album Ash Eastt by the artist Eastt.
On March 27th her next single Circe's bay will be out.
