CHACO BOREAL is a band that takes cumbia to new territories, blending the essence of Latin American music with electronic elements and folkloric rhythms from the region. The band’s main goal is to create a sensory experience dedicated to dance and rhythmic enjoyment.
The group stands out for its unique formation, led by a duo of trombone and trumpet, electric bass, and percussion supported by a live electronic set.
Chaco Boreal’s show is an immersive experience where cumbia intertwines with influences from afrobeat, dub, and electrofolk, creating a musical piece that continuously evolves throughout the performance.
The project offers two live formats, adaptable to different venues and contexts.
LIVE BAND
A quartet composed of trombone, trumpet, bass, and percussion supported by a live electronic set — a Latin sound built on samplers and electronic beats. A one-hour nonstop journey of live music, ideal for audiences seeking both introspective and collective dance experiences.
LIVE SET
A more portable and versatile version where a trombone processed with FX interacts with the electronic set — designed to adapt to any type of stage without losing the project’s energy or sonic identity.
CHACO BOREAL has toured internationally across Uruguay, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Italy, and Croatia.
The band has been selected to perform at major festivals such as the Artistic Festival of the National University of the Arts (FAUNA) in Buenos Aires, Fête de la Musique in Berlin, Slot Art Festival in Wroclaw, Poland, and Back to the Style in Naples, Italy.
