Dublin-born and now based in Scotland, Cashell cut his teeth as the frontman Brass Phantoms. After 5 years gigging across Ireland, United Kingdom, New York and writing songs with widespread radio plays and his music being used in Champions League adverts, Cashell is releasing his first solo music.
Inspired by zine culture, Cashell has taken a DIY approach to his writing - recording and mixing all of his music in his home.
His debut single, “Said and Done,” blends electronic pulse, anthemic rock, and punk grit, drawing inspiration from the garage rock spirit of the 90s and early 2000s. TheBeat.ie has said -
"Built on a looping chord pattern, the track draws you in with its hypnotic groove. There’s something raw and real here, fuzzy guitars hum beneath Cashell’s crooner-style vocals, somewhere between sing-speaking and murmuring confessions. When the chorus hits, harmonies soften things up, giving it a dreamy pop edge before crashing back into that gritty guitar drone".
