Dublin-born and now based in Scotland, Cashell began as the frontman of Brass Phantoms. After 5 years gigging across Ireland, United Kingdom, New York and writing songs with widespread radio plays and his music being used in Champions League adverts, Cashell is releasing his first solo music.
Inspired by zine culture, Cashell has taken a DIY approach to his writing - recording and mixing all of his music.
His sophomore single 'These Things Take Time' is out 16th January, is a song about watching others moving on with their lives, and coming to terms with the fact that we are all on our own paths in life. This new single, inspired by LCD Soundsystem and The xx, invites self discovery, reinvention, and with a new year, a new beginning for the listener. 'These Things Take Time' is the second single of my debut EP.
